Request for indirect cost returns
Dear Colleagues,
The Center for Integrative Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases (CICMD) thrives thanks to the generous indirect cost (IDC) contributions from our members. Up to 7.5% of your IDC can be designated to CICMD at no cost to you, and we invite you to allocate all or a portion of your IDC to support the Center’s continued growth and success.
The deadline to update your IDC distribution is June 30, 2025. Step-by-step instructions for updating your allocation in UFIRST are available here:

Your IDC contributions enable us to deliver critical programming and infrastructure that foster innovation, collaboration, and professional development. As a contributing member, you and your trainees have access to a variety of valuable CICMD-supported initiatives, including:
• CICMD Seminar Series
Last year, we hosted seven in-person talks nominated by our members. Contributing members are encouraged to continue recommending speakers.
Past & Future Seminar Series
• Early Career Showcase and Member Mixer
Held at the Harn Museum, this signature event has drawn record participation, with over 70 abstract submissions across the last two years. We’re excited to share that this year’s event is scheduled for September 15, 2025—more details to come!

• Travel Awards
