CICMD was pleased to be represented at the 2026 State of Medical City, presented by AdventHealth, on Friday, September 18.
CICMD member Dr. Siobhan Malany gave a great presentation highlighting her work and opportunities for collaboration across human health, innovative research models, and space-related research.
Dr. Malany also announced an upcoming Spring 2027 workshop co-sponsored by CICMD and the In-Space Biomanufacturing Innovation Hub, bringing together researchers around new approach methodologies (NAMs), tissue engineering, biomarkers, and cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic health.
CICMD Co-Director Dr. Michelle Gumz, CICMD trainee Deep Thakkar, and CICMD Manager Veronica Donoso also attended, connecting with colleagues and supporting opportunities for future collaborations in cardiovascular and metabolic disease research.
