Center Activities

To achieve the goal of establishing the University of Florida as a national Center of Excellence in cardiometabolic disease, the Center for Integrative Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disease (CICMD) fosters a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment that unites leading experts across basic, clinical, and translational research. Through strategic initiatives like the CICMD Seminar Series, our annual Early Career Showcase, and the Center’s newsletter, we promote scientific exchange, elevate emerging talent, and keep our community connected and informed. These efforts accelerate discovery, drive innovation, and advance our mission to improve health outcomes for those affected by cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.
