Dr. Catherine “Katie” Derington is an Assistant Professor of Cardiology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and co-director of the Colorado Cardiovascular Outcomes Research group. Trained as a pharmacist and pharmacoepidemiologist, her research uses real-world data to improve hypertension treatment, focusing on gaps between clinical guidelines and patient care. She studies treatment patterns, cost barriers, and strategies such as single-pill combinations.
