Dr. Yumei Feng Earley, MD. Ph.D.

CICMD Invited Speakers Seminar Series. Wednesday, March 16th from 11:00 am to Noon.

A novel role of neuronal (pro)renin receptor in the regulation of blood pressure and glucose metabolism.

Dr. Yumei Feng Earley, MD. PhD. is a Professor in the Department of Pharmacology, Physiology & Cell Biology at the University of Nevada-Reno, School of Medicine. The
long-term goals of her research program are to advance our understanding of the molecular mechanisms that contribute to the neural regulation of hypertension,
cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Her group studies the complex neural circuits that play a pivotal role in neural autonomic and endocrine regulation of metabolic
physiology. Specifically, they seek to identify the origin of brain angiotensin II formation, molecular mechanisms of the brain renin-angiotensin system, and overactivation
in pathophysiological conditions.

This is a hybrid seminar,  in-person venue: COMM (HSC) C1-009.
