Guillaume de Lartigue, Ph.D., an assistant professor of pharmacodynamics, is a multiple principal investigator of a National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases R01 grant, which began July 1, 2020.
The grant titled “Consequence and mechanism of diet-driven vagal remodeling on gut-brain feeding behavior” will assess the role of gut microbiota and local inflammatory vagal response to a high fat diet in structural remodeling of vagal afferent terminals in the hindbrain and the consequence on feeding behavior.
