The Roundtable was organized by the CDC’s Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention and features members from different sectors working together to achieve a national hypertension control rate of 80% by 2025. Roundtable members will spotlight the need for improved hypertension control in the U.S. by sharing and implementing evidence-based interventions, engaging industry colleagues in efforts to control hypertension rates and promoting prioritization of hypertension control in primary care, among other activities.

Smith joined the UF College of Pharmacy in 2014 and has focused his efforts on advancing research around cardiovascular pharmacotherapy and hypertension.
