To achieve the goal of making UF a Center of Excellence for cardiometabolic health disparities, the Center for Integrative Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disease focuses on three main activities:
The CICMD brings experts on cardiometabolic disease to the UF Health Sciences Center to give seminars and engage with our students and faculty. For a complete listing of previous and upcoming seminars please follow the link to see the most updated information here:
The CICMD hosts an annual Early Career Showcase and Mixer that highlights work being done by our trainees. This consists of a poster and oral sessions, a keynote lecture and an awards reception where cash prizes are given for the best presentations by students and fellows.
To foster our members’s latest and greatest ideas, the CICMD supports “Cardiometabolic Coffee Hour” where faculty present works in progress over caffeinated beverages and get feedback.
