Reconceptualizing behavioral obesity treatment to improve health among emerging adult women
Dr. LaRose is a tenured associate professor of Health Behavior and Policy in the VCU School of Medicine and a clinical psychologist with specialized training in behavioral medicine in both pediatric and adult populations. She is also a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control research program at VCU Massey Cancer Center. Her program of research focuses on understanding the interplay of behavioral, psychological, and contextual determinants of obesity and cardiovascular disease risk, and developing novel lifestyle intervention approaches to improve physical and psychological health.
